antoinette cakefight. one of the most infamous quotes, supposedly said by marie antoinette is “qu’ils mangent de la brioche” - which means “let them eat cake”. this statement should show us the big difference between the aristocratic world and the rest of the people, the peasants. however i really believe in this dramatic gap and the absolute ignorance of the aristocracy in the 18th century (until today) i also tried to find out the real origin of this quote. and i was lucky to find out that it seems that it was jean-jacques rousseau who stated (invented) this phrase in one of his confessions.

today i am just lucky that we do not live in those days, although i must confess i like this video.
